Ginger Spice Muffins

1 3/4 cups flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cup milk
1cup raisins

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F, and grease muffin tins. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and salt with the butter, egg, vanilla, milk, and raisins. Stir the mixture until the ingredients are blended. Do not over mix. The batter will be lumpy. Fill muffin tins 2/3 full, and bake for 15 minutes. Makes 2 dozen
