I'm still donated each book after I finish reading them to my local library. I put my initials in the back of each book and enjoy seeing them on the library shelves when I visit.

Clutter Busting Challenge April 2014 Part 4

I took a couple days off from purging since Easter and the end of my 40 Bags in 40 Days Challenge. I had 4 days to collect stuff before this post so I guess its not too bad. It does feel like a slow week.

This is what I have collected for donation since Monday:
A book, vase, potpourri,  2 pairs of socks, 2 flower pots, and 3 pictures.

I bought the book this week at a thrift store only to realize I already own it. I bought succulents at Home Depot this week for a concrete flower pot so I am donating the little flower pots they came in. I love how I have gotten into the habit of putting things in my donation pile as soon as I get home and know that I don't want to keep the item.

I was looking at my laundry room to see what I could purge. I took the 3 pictures off the wall, and the vase along with the potpourri off the shelf.

I like to wear fuzzy socks to bed in the winter and I had 5 pair so I decide to donate 2 of them.

40 Bags in 40 Days: Days 38-40

We're at the end of our 40 Bags in 40 Days Challenge. I have decluttered 80 bags in 40 Days of possessions during this Lenten Season. The areas of my home that I am continuing to work on are my office/craft room, my kids homeschool papers, my granddaughter craft/preschool papers, and my cookbooks and cooking notebooks. Once these areas are finished my home will be totally clutter free and minimized.

Clutter Busting Challenge April 2014 Part 3

I will continue to purge until I'm sure there is nothing left that needs to be re-homed. I will put anything that I find that I don't need directly into my donation hamper. I will continue to donate at the end of each week. I will do a maintenance purge every Spring and Fall. I'm hopeful that I will not have to make purging into such a long project again. I feel confident that I am almost to the point of being finished. My home feels lighter and I am free from caring for so many things that we can live without.

40 Bags in 40 Days: Days 32-37

You wouldn't think that doing all the work to collect everything for donation would be fun but it defiantly is. I just did whatever I wanted to each day but made sure that I never went more than two days without working to fill bags. I worked in whatever area each day that I felt needed more attention.

My Purge Pile for this Week:
Most of my pile this week comes from the 3 car barn and shed and are items that don't fit in a bag and was loaded into the car for donation as is. I'm counting this as 69 Bags in 37 Days.

Clutter Busting Challenge April 2014 Part 2

I'm almost to the point that I would say I'm at a comfortable minimalist level. I have enough of everything I want and everything I need. My home looks and feels great. More of Him Less of Me.

My donations this week:

I worked on redoing all my door wreaths this week. I found some fake flowers that I had saved that I do not want anymore. I'll share my updated wreaths in a future post.

I purged the last of my organizing/clutter books this week. I had keep a couple by Emilie Barnes after my book purge a couple weeks ago. I had put them on my laundry room shelf  instead of on my bookshelf with all my fiction books. I read them one last time in March and then put them in my donation pile. This was my third time this year purging these types of books and my last since I have purge all of them at this point. I will not buy any more books with this theme because I figure if I need ideas I can check some out from my local Library.

Holiday stuff, and clear nail polish.

I went through my stationary and Christmas card and found several stacks to donate.

2 Curtains.

Plastic containers, a bag, body spray, and 3 pillows.

3 laundry baskets

A box of old candles that I used to remake candles with years ago.

A wood crate.

Craft books and patterns.

A box with 2 completed latch hooks, a book, shorts, pencils, and Christmas picks.

A Chair.
