KonMari Week 22: Seasonal/Holiday Part 2

I sorted and organized my spring decor. I didn't purge anything. I’ve minimized them a lot over the last couple years. The kitchen is the only room I decorate now that my kids are grown. It’s so much simpler that it used to be. I have 1 box for everything. I change a few things out each month of March, April, and May. I use the wreath that I decorated all 3 months but I changed out the table and kitchen counter decor.

KonMari Week 22: Seasonal/Holiday Part 1

I sorted and packed up all my autumn decorations. I’m not discarding anything. I’ve minimized them a lot over the last couple years. The kitchen is the only room I decorate now that my kids are grown. It’s so much simpler that it used to be. I have 1 box for everything. I change a few things out each month of September, October, and November. I used the wreaths all 3 months but I changed out the table and kitchen counter decor.

KonMari Week 21: Kitchen

I have a big farmhouse kitchen. I love my china cabinet. I bought the table about 5 yrs. ago so there would be enough seating for our young adult children with spouses. I would like to have a stand that would work for the cages of both my bird Buttercup and my hamster Chewie. I’ll have to keep looking in the thrift stores. I’ve thought of discarding the freestanding cabinet, although it matches the kitchen cabinets. I could move the stuff into the butler’s pantry cabinet. My family isn’t onboard with that idea; traditionally it’s our dessert counter. I won’t be discarding any of our kitchen furniture. This room needs painted, the carpet removed, and the woodwork refinished.

KonMari Week 21: Master Bedroom

I love my master bedroom. We did this room on a small budget 3 yrs ago. It had been our oldest daughter's bedroom before she married 5 yrs. ago. The china cabinet and the couch are my favorite pieces of furniture in the room. We bought the dresser used about 23 yrs. ago. It’s in great shape but it needs painted or refinished. My husband votes to refinish but I vote to paint since it’s the easier option. I think I’ll make the dresser one of my projects next Summer. I’m not discarding anything from our master bedroom.

KonMari Week 20: Pets

Pets were a fun category to do. I didn’t discard anything. I did reorganize their things and place most of their extra supplies on a white shelf in the basement.

KonMari Week 20: Personal Collections

I'm sharing the subcategory of car, computer, home repairs stored in our shed. This shed used to have so much but we have been reducing the amount of things for the last 3 yrs. I’m happy to have this stuff done before winter. We did a big sort and discard in the spring so I just organized and put things away this time. My husband and I bought a camper on November 1st and are renovating it. We are using the shed over the winter to stores our supplies. The wood items leaning on the table and shelf are stuff that was removed from the camper.
