Get Home Bag and Bug Out Bag
I'm sharing the basic info on a Get Home Bag and a Bug Out Bag. I'm not an expert so I refer to websites for info on how to build or what to put into a bag. I hope this gives you an ideas to start researching or building your own Emergency Preparedness supplies.
A Get Home Bag is the bag you carry in your trunk in case of an emergency. If the roads are closed for some reason and you need to walk home. Or if you get stranded on the side of the road during a snow storm. If your car breaks down you would wait for help but at some point you may need to go find help or go home. It can be really important if you live away from a main town. In this type of bag you would need food, water and essential survival supplies to last you the next 3 days, at the minimum.

A Bug Out Bag allows you quickly grab what you need, should you be forced to evacuate during a disaster. This bag would be stored at home and taken with you should you need to leave your home for safety. In this type of bag you would need food, water and essential survival supplies to last you at least seventy-two hours to a week or more.
