I wanted to purge and reorganize our Christmas decorations. I had help cleaning up our Christmas decorations and putting them into the storage boxes in the basement. My problem is that everything is not organized or put into any of its packaging. My husband and I spent some time organizing everything properly and now everything is in its place.
I started by sorting through everything and reboxing things that I wanted to keep and put things I didn't want into a bag for donation. I have wanted to get rid of most of our Santa Themed decorations and go for a Nativity Theme for several years. This year I got a little closer to my goal by doing a Nativity Theme with Holly & Poinsettia in my kitchen. As I was organizing my Christmas decorations I purged most of my Santa stuff so next year I will be able to display the Nativity Theme through the house. I am going to pick up a couple of Nativity things at thrift stores throughout the year. After I finished purging and organizing I packed away everything that we are keeping and donated the rest to the Clothes Closet.

I did the same thing this year - purged a lot of Santa/cutsie stuff and have been looking for more religious items on clearance. I plan to do our tree in a nativity theme this year and my kids are actually very excited about it.
