Spring Project Week Day #4
I spent the day doing my daily chores, creating blog posts,
and working in my Homemaking Notebook. My 19 yrs. son had three friends spend
last week with us for their Spring break but they cleaned up most of their
mess. I’m honestly at a loss as to how to spend my project time. It’s gotten cold again in Ohio so my yard and
garden work is on hold. I need to purchase supplies for my photo boxes so that
is on hold. My husband and I got a good amount on our Project: House list done,
and need to buy supplies to complete a few more. I don’t have much on my FROG
list to do. I either don’t have the
supplies, need my husband’s help, or aren’t feeling motivated to do what I can
that’s left. I need a project! LOL

Spring Project Week Day #3
On Sunday, for my Spring Project week, I took the day off for the Lord’s
Day. We didn’t have family dinner so I watched Hallmark movies and read all
day. I’m reading The Crossroads by Beverly Lewis. Have you ever had it happen,
that while reading fiction that it takes you on a rabbit trail though the
bible? Yep, that is what happened to me.
As I was reading I came across 2 Timothy 2:21. In a few versions of the bible they use the word purges rather than cleanses. I found it interested not only for personal possessions but for inner heart purging as well. I ended up reading all of 2 Timothy 2 but I wanted to share 2 Timothy 2:20-21.
20. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. 2 Timothy 2:20-21 (NKJV)

Oh,
on a side note... I happen to be going to meet author Beverly Lewis
tomorrow morning at 10:00 at a local library. I've almost read all her
books and found out last week that she will be in my area of Ohio on her
new book tour. Yippy.

Spring Project Week Day #2
On Saturday for my Spring Project week, my husband and I spent time working on our Project: House list. We got a whole trash cans worth of stuff to purge from the day’s work. I spent the evening reading and watching hallmark movies because I was sore after our days work.
What we did:
Replace batteries in smoke & carbon detectors.
Count the light switches/outlets for whole house.
Check the attic for possible problems. (None found)
Remove hook from family room ceiling.
Clean dehumidifier in basement.
Remove old satellite cable in basement.
Remove old networking cable in basement.
Remove old oil pipes in basement.
Dump and refill water jugs in basement.
Dispose of old insulation in basement.
Clean windows seals in basement.
Put away the spray paint cardboard in basement.
Clean up paint and sanding supplies in basement.

Spring Project Week Day #1
On Friday, I started my Spring Project Week!
I worked on my photo boxes in the morning. I realized that my cardstock isn't thick enough to hold my pictures in place. I need to buy something that is thicker than the pictures. Any ideas?
In my yard I have a few Sheppard’s hooks that need something to hang on them. I spent a half hour on Pinterest looking for yard ornaments that I can make. I don’t want to spend money so I’m looking into recycling projects. I found cool ideas for plastic bottle cap art, soda bottle spinners, tin can chimes, and soda can spinners. I’ll need to collect a few things over the next couple days. I’m hoping I can repair a wind chime I have too.
I worked outside on my yard in the afternoon. I removed all the weeds and dead plants along the front and one side of our shed. I raked the leaves back into the bed for mulch. This is what I see when I’m in the kitchen doing dishes so I wanted to start their first. I cleaned the squirrel feeder and bird feeder too. I brought in the wind chime that I plan to try to fix and cleaned it. I cleaned up trash that had blown into the backyard. It was trash day so I moved our trashcans into the garage from the street. If I do a section of the yard everyday I’ll finish by the end of the week. I have a list started so I'll have to see what I can get done.

My Interests Notebook
I decide to decorate my Interests Notebook section dividers with stickers. My facebook group friend and blog reader Sara from Roanoke, Virginia sent me a package with paper crafting supplies. Thank you, Sara! The stickers that Sara sent are on my Memory Keeping and Cooking Ambitions section. I used stickers from my stash that I had bought at Dollar Tree a couple years ago for my Blog and Reader's Journal dividers. I made the Tea Time divider years ago with scrapbook paper.
