Rick & Bubba's Guide to the Almost Perfect Marriage by Rick Burgess and Bill (Bubba) Bussey

Rick & Bubba's Guide to the Almost Perfect Marriage is a light-hearted book on the state of marriage based on principles from the Bible. The guys tell stories about married life that will make you laugh out loud! I could help but read several of the stories to my husband and he was very amused by them. The Guide To The Almost Nearly Perfect Marriage isn’t a book that will help you wrestle with some of the struggles in your marriage nor will you find helpful solutions for those struggles.

Easy Layered Taco Bake

1 pkg. (7-1/4 oz.) Macaroni & Cheese
1 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. (1.25 oz.) Taco Seasoning Mix
1 cup Mild Salsa

Heat oven to 400ºF. Prepare Macaroni & Cheese as directed on package. Cook meat with taco seasoning. Layer seasoned meat, Dinner and salsa in 8-inch square baking dish. Bake 20 min.

Homemade Egg Noodles

1 egg
1/2 - 1 teaspoon salt
1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon pepper
all-purpose flour

In a mixing bowl, beat together the egg, salt and pepper. Gradually stir in flour until mixture forms a ball. On a very well floured surface, roll the dough out into a rectangle until quite thin. Flour the surface of the dough. Roll the dough up like a jelly roll. Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled dough into thin slices. Using your hands, toss the noodles carefully with flour (the rolled up noodles will unroll as you do this).

Drop the noodles a few at a time into rapidly boiling broth (or water) and cook for thirty minutes. This recipe makes a good-sized handful of raw noodles.

Zippy Turkey Pot Pie

3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup Mayonnaise
1 tablespoon flour
3 cups chopped cooked turkey
1 (10 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1/4 cup chopped onions
1 pie crust

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Mix milk, dressing and flour in large microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 2 to 3 minutes or until sauce is thickened, stirring after each minute. Add turkey, mixed vegetables, cheese and onions; toss to coat. Spoon into 9-inch pie plate; smooth surface.

Place crust over filling; flute edge of crust, sealing edge of crust to rim of pie plate. Cut several slits in crust to allow steam to escape. Transfer to baking sheet. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Swiss Turkey Stuffing Pie

3 cups prepared stuffing
2 cups cooked turkey, cubed
1 cup (4 oz.) Swiss cheese, grated
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk

Press stuffing into a greased 9 inch pie plate, coming up the sides, too. Layer with turkey and then cheese. Beat eggs and milk and pour over everything. Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean. Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.
